SPECIAL PROJECT - CHUKKA BROGUE CASUAL BOOT DEVELOPMENT
This development work was done for a client, a very tasteful friend of mine, born in a country that values handmade shoes, Argentina, my friend Carlos Cardama. He wanted a casual and casual Chukka Brogue boot. Note that this boot has laces that can remain tied and has a side zipper to put on the foot. This development work was a lot of work, as we only had one photo sent via WhatsApp, which made it difficult to see the details of the model and the toe. However, we reached a consensus and Carlos chose to make the toe from a mold that we already had, which reduced the cost of this development. He chose several items, leather, the color, he chose a light color, which highlighted the cutouts and perforations of the model more, he chose a thick leather sole and finally, he even chose the model and color of the laces, which made this boot more casual and laid-back.
First, I analyzed the feasibility of doing it, and we started choosing the toe of the boot. This development was more affordable, as the client chose to make a mold/toe that we already had here. I put together the budget and sent it to the client.
After the budget was approved, the client chose the leather and color, and we decided to make the sole the same as the original model. Once the budget was made, the client decided to continue with the development, the first stage of which was the development of the model (cutting out the shoe).
We cannot rush any development we do. We always make a sample plant first for the client to come and try and evaluate any changes or not. Only after the client's final approval do we continue with the development. We always take this care.
